Where to find DLC

You can purchase the add-on from the official Xbox Live store. On Xbox 360 with Freeboot, installing DLC using the standard method will not work, since access to official servers and services blocked forever.

But there is one plus that overcomes all the shortcomings of the firmware. You can install DLC on Freeboot completely free by downloading them from the Internet.

With what it is DLC on Xbox 360 with Freeboot, we figured it out. It remains to find out how these add-ons are installed.

How to install DLC on Xbox 360 with Freeboot

Installing DLC on Xbox 360 with Freeboot is done according to a certain scheme.

Before downloading an add-on pack, make sure that they are “unlocked”. This will significantly reduce installation time and save you from unnecessary steps. Information about this contained in the description Online.

After the necessary add-ons have been downloaded to your PC, you need to copy them to a flash drive and insert it into the USB port on the console.

Most often, folders with add-ons look like this: “game number”/00000002/.

Let's go to "Conductor" in Freestyle 3 and move the folder with additional content to hdd1:/Content/00000000000000000.

The game itself can be stored on any device (HDD, external media, flash drive), and It is better to copy the DLC to your hard drive. When running from external media, problems may arise.

Now let's look at other installation options.

You can configure HTTP or FTP connection and connect the console to the PC. Using a file manager that supports this transfer method, you can transfer files to the set-top box. The paths for saving files are the same.

If you don’t have a flash drive, you can connect the console’s hard drive to your PC. Will need SATA-USB adapter or SATA cable.

If everything is done according to the requirements, you can run DLC on Xbox 360 with Freeboot.

Let's summarize

Previously, when the plot of the game was completed to the end, we waited for the next part of the game, and no one even thought about additions. Of course, from time to time pirated modifications appeared, but they were not of particular quality and were not that interesting to play.

Today the situation is completely different. By purchasing another DLC pack, you can go through the game again and get new emotions from it.

Often DLC costs a little less than the game itself. It is not always possible to buy it in the official store. That is why it would be logical flash your xbox 360 and download add-ons and games themselves absolutely free.

While searching for my own problems of a completely different nature, I came across a completely different one, and in the same way, completely by accident, I read the solution to this problem. It consists of this:

But many people have a problem that it simply does not install. It gives an error stating that the game was not found, or similar nonsense.

Solution:

1. Install the game Mass Effect 1 part in Origin (Russian or other, it doesn’t matter).

2. Launch the game. (It is important!).

2.2. If it does not start for you, or is minimized, or displays a black screen, go to:

Your drive:\Your games folder Origin\Mass Effect\Binaries\MassEffectConfig.exe

There we change the screen resolution and so on.

3. Launch the game again, look at the settings in the game, change them to the required ones, if something is wrong.

4. Download the free official add-on from the website. (if not)

5. Create a Text Document.txt - also known as Notepad.

7. In the window that opens, in the first bottom line, File name, change “New text document.txt” to MassEffectLauncher.exe (This is Important!)

8. In the second bottom line, change Text documents.txt to All files (*.*) (This is Important)

9. In the side window, go to the address where you have the game installed:

Your drive:\Your folder with Origin games\Mass Effect\

11. Close the notepad.

12. We try to run the add-on installation program again. Everything should be installed.

P.S. After this, when loading the game, the game may ask you for a key.

Go to the Origin client and update the game.

Let's play. According to this scheme, everything worked out great for me.

Thanks comrades max_exter & ragnarok013 from a nearby English-language forum for this solution.

Ok, I"ve duplicated the problem, and it really is looking for the presence of MassEffectLauncher.exe.

So, open Notepad, then go to File -> Save As, change the file

type to All ( VERY IMPORTANT), name the file MassEffectLauncher.exe, and then navigate

to the root of your Mass Effect directory, which is probably %programfiles(x86)%\origin games\mass effect\

Then try running the installer again.

This solved my "Mass effect not found" error and allowed me to install BDTS. However now I have a bigger problem that won"t let me start the game when it was fully updated and functional before installing BDTS. I am receiving a popup (see attachement) with a pre-filled CD key, but when I choose "done " it doesn"t accept the key and when I select "don"t continue" it doesn"t allow the game to start. Even entering the code from my origin "view game details" tab doesn't work in this launcher.

***UPDATE*** I opened Origin and selected "check for update" after installing BDTS and the game updated and then ran normally after the updated downloaded and completed.

- An image or screenshot of the purchase confirmation.

Xbox360 users are better off downloading unlocked ones (without unnecessary hassle). If, however, you were unable to find the unlocked ones (although this is unlikely to happen), and you downloaded the unlocked ones, then you will not avoid getting acquainted with the “360 Content Manager” program, which you will need to use to unlock arcade games.

Upon completion of downloading DLC for any game, you will need a folder with this very toy, copy “hdd\Content\16 zeros\” to the folder.

Basically, the DLC looks like this: “daddy with toy number”\00002\”.

As for toys, you can store them on a USB HDD/Flash, but please note that the DLC for it must be stored in a section formatted with a “Flash Memory Unit” box (with a maximum size of no more than 16 GB).

Not every game or DLC can function with a USB Flash/HDD, let’s take for example: “HD Texture Pack” for “Battlefield 3”, you will need to install it exclusively on the box screw.

Now let's think about DLC games and how they need to be installed on Freeboot/xbox 360/xbox 360 Slim.

Upon completion of loading the game, an image will be displayed in front of you, which will show FAILD, but this is only when, after loading the game, you did not put it in the right folder, naturally after which it will not work and will not work.

What should you do if you downloaded the game, but it doesn’t work? In this case, the most important thing is not to lower your head, everything can be fixed. You will need to go to the directory Hdd1 – Content – 000000000 folder with zeros, in which you need to delete the crooked freeboot file.

In the case when you downloaded a toy, let’s take “dreamWorksKartx” for example, then you don’t need to drop this entire folder, but only all its contents, to do this, open the folder, select everything, copy and drop the required directory. Due to the fact that each toy has an internal folder and a main one, but this only applies to paid DLC toys. Let's get started, select the folder "xxxxxxx", press the "Y" key, and select "Copy" (copy), and finally press the "A" key (actions).

After that, move to “Hdd1:\Content”, select the “xxxxxxxx” folder with zeros and open it, and now when you press the “Y” button, select “Paste” (insert).

Once the files are copied (maximum for a large toy size, about 20 minutes), exit the “xex menu” and press the Xbox button on the gamepad, which is located between the “start” and “select” buttons, then go to the xbox 360 main page Slim.

When asked for confirmation, give your consent and exit.

When you go to the main menu, the new dash 14719 will automatically save your toys and the “xex menu” in the “quick launch” tab. You can find all your games exclusively in this tab.

If you want to download the “Iso” image, then you will need to convert it to “FreeBoot” and only then upload it to the “hdd1:\content 00000000” folder.

Necessary tools;

GenPS3iso 2.3
Winrar
PGKView v1.3 (If it gives an error, use fastpkg)
Comgenie's awesome file manager 4.46
1 x FAT32 USB Flash Drive
1 x Game ISO
1 x Cracked DLC

You can download all the necessary software from the link below:
https://anonfiles.com/file/34e0e2678b4c07b6fc9a41c183ab410f

Step 1:
Download or create a working ISO image of the game and download the cracked DLC for this game.

For example, I took:
GAME ISO: Injustice.Gods.Among.Us.PROPER.PS3-DUPLEX (BLUS31018 ISO)
Cracked DLC: Injustice.Gods.Among.Us.All.DLC.Unlocker.PS3-DUPLEX (BLUS31018 DLC)

The hacked DLC from Duplex will include:
All DLC skins unlocked
Unlocked zombie mod (dlc) --> settings / zombie mode ON/OFF
Unlocked red son campaign (DLC/skin) ---> stars labs mode / last page /
20 new missions

Step 2:
If the DLC is in an archive, unzip it using Winrar, you will be left with injusticealldlcBLUS.pkg

Run PKGView v1.3 (If it gives an error, use fastpkg).
Click file / Open and specify the path to the PKG.
After opening, you will see a table with the contents of the PKG:

Right-click on the first folder in the table (BLUS31018) and select "Extact to source folder"

Copy the unpacked PKG to a FAT32 format flash drive.
Remove the flash drive from your PC and insert it into one of the front USB ports on your console.

Step 3:
Copy Comgenie's awesome file manager 4.46 ISO (aka CAFM) to the PS3_GAMES folder on your hard drive for Cobra ODE. Launch Comgenie's awesome file manager 4.46 ISO using the Manager (for example Cobra ODE Manage v1.4, Cobra ODE Brawser or MultiMAN compatible with Cobra ODE.)

Step 4:
When CAFM loads you will see two lists of directories. We will use the list on the right to navigate the flash drive and the list on the left to select a directory.
From the list on the right, select dev_usb002 by pressing the down arrow on the D-pad (joystick - controller, as usual) and press X (The number of the USB flash drive may differ depending on which port it was inserted into). You should see a folder with unpacked pkg BLUS31018.
Next, press left on the D-pad and go to dev_hdd0/game/ and press X. You should now see a list of folders with the game disc code in the names.
Scroll until you find your game's disc code folder (BLUS31018) and select it.

Step 5:
Press right on the D-pad to go back to the BLUS31018 package on the USB flash drive and press O.
You will be prompted if you want to copy the HDD0 location folder to press the "Start" button on your PS3 controller.
The files will be transferred from USB to the PS3's internal hard drive.

Step 6:
Exit CAFM and unmount the image to return to selecting games. Select your game and launch it. Install all updates if required (see "Important Notes")
